A success story from a coal mine on a D10. 

What we did

A TRUST ITM® roller with embedded sensors overheated on a Dozer during its first movement from the workshop to the pit. The rollers had been misaligned in the bogie, causing the chain to press against its flange, which created an axial load and led to an increase in roller temperature. The TRUST ITM® system notified the maintenance supervisor as soon as the temperature exceeded the threshold. The machine was turned off and the roller replaced, adjusting the alignment, without any additional damage to the machine.

What we achieved

Thanks to the TRUST ITM® system, the roller was replaced before malfunctioning. This proactive operation prevented the roller from breaking down, extended the life of the track chain, and avoided unplanned maintenance and stops.
